4. While the paint is still wet, add more depth by rubbing more paint into the outer edges of the shapes and blending them a bit with your fingers. Allow the pages to dry completely. Make marks with acrylic paint markers. I created dot designs, letting the pattern flow naturally over the entire page while making sure to leave some empty spaces.

5. Add a photo of yourself. I roughly cut out a black and white photo of myself. Add messy watercolors. After deciding where to place the photo, I brushed bright pink watercolor on the pages so it would surround the photo. Soften the edges with more water and swirl the paint around to make this layer look airy but messy. The gesso layer will prevent the watercolor from seeping into the paper.
